Koh Rong Sanloem
Best Island for Relaxing - Koh Rong Sanloem
Koh Rong is Cambodia’s most popular island for being the party paradise whereas its sister island Koh Rong Samolem known for it's serenity tranquility and calmness, as it is less developed, it is free of air and noise pollution, making the days spent relaxing on the beach more pleasant. Koh Rong Samolem is part of the Wonderful Wildlife of Sanolem project, which preserves and protects the natural beauty of the island and those who are living on it, including the diverse indigenous animal population. The interior of the island is dense tropical jungle, with trekking paths and the opportunity to observe the local flora and fauna.
Koh Rong Sanloem is more chilled-out sister island with beautiful beaches. On the eastern side is Saracen Bay, a heart-shaped inlet with calm turquoise surf and beautiful white sand beaches, there are more than a dozen resorts that run the gamut from simple wooden bungalows to luxury air-conditioned villas. On the other side of the island, Sunset Beach is aptly named for the colorful displays over the water as the sun sinks below the horizon. In a small fishing village called M'phey Bei there are myriad inexpensive accommodation options and a laid-back, backpacker vibe. There's not much to do on the island, but that's the point. Days can be spent paddle-boarding, snorkeling or relaxing under a palm tree with a good book. The island has 37 kilometers of coastline, most of it beach. On the western side of the island are several yellow beaches.
Saracen Bay
Known for its beauty and tranquility, Saracen Bay is a great place to get away from it all. It’s graced with white sand beaches and placid turquoise water, which is usually quite shallow close to shore. On this side of the island it’s worth waking up early — at dawn you’ll be treated to a gorgeous beachside sunrise.M’phey Bei
Koh Rong Sanloem’s only real village, M’phey Bei has become a popular tourist spot where backpackers amiably coexist with the fishing village. The beach in front of M’phey Bei is mostly used as a pier and for docking fishing boats. But just a short walk away is a lovely deserted beach with excellent snorkeling opportunities. This is where you’ll find a bit more of an active nightlife.Lazy Beach

With peaceful tranquil atmosphere that Lazy Beach is Quiet, laid-back, so relaxing, with a few crickets chirping in the background.Sunset Beach
Sunset Beach is only one cove to the north of Lazy Beach and, despite being half the size, is much busier. Like its neighbour, it boasts beautiful white sands, bordered by rocky outcrops. Even so, the pine trees here keep the sun off a larger selection of accommodation, restaurants and facilities, including a dive shop. As the name suggests, this is probably the best place on Koh Rong Sanloem to watch the sunset.Activities: Scuba Diving | Snorkeling | Kayaking | SUP boards | Paddling | Trekking
