Serendipity Beach

Serendipity Beach is the main beach in Sihanoukville. Nestled right next to the pier, you’ll find a boardwalk lined with beachfront restaurants and umbrella stands on the beach This is now a Chinese casino / Chinese restaurant area of town with Seafood, BBQ, dumplings. 

Independence Beach

Independence Beach, gets its name from the deserted 7 -storey Independence Hotel at the north end. It is also labeled as '7-Chann Beach'. Independence is more than a kilometer long and the narrow sandy area makes the beach best visit during low tide. The beach is wider and more tourists toward the northwest end near a small fresh water lake . 

Otres Beach

Otres Beach is yet another well-known beach in Sihanoukville. It’s a little bit far from the city 20min drive and is very peaceful and relaxing.  At Saturday night Otres Beach market  you can buy local products and souvenirs giving this beach a hippie atmosphere feel.

Ochheuteal Beach

Ochheuteal Beach is a long and narrow strip of beach lined with casuarina trees, grass umbrellas, rental chairs and little drink huts as well as restaurants and night-time party spots.

Island Hopping

There are more than a dozen islands off the coast of Sihanoukville for tourists to hop around and explore. Only a select few of these islands have been developed for overnight stays.

Kbal Chhay Waterfall

Just outside of Sihanoukville, located only 30 minutes away from the city you can visit the Kbal Chhay waterfalls.

Ream National Park 

Ream National Park is around 27 km from Sihanoukville, on the way back to Phnom Penh. It was established in the early 1990s to protect its threatened areas. Ream Park is one of the seven national parks in the country. It encompasses over 15,000 hectares with mangrove forests, tropical jungles, and more then 150 bird species. It is also known for its monkey population. The park has a marine habitat too, and aside from beaches, there are also boat trips being offered through mangrove forest channels. Tourists can have a walking tour of the mountains and see the numerous animal and plant life. 

Wat Ream

The Buddhist temple Ream (Wat Ream) is located on a mountainside in the national park of the same name, just steps from the beach in the region of Kampong Som, it is accessible from Sihanouk Ville on motorcycles, tuk tuk or taxi. Ream Wat is one of the temples built during the last century in Cambodia, which well worth a visit during a trip to Cambodia.

Wat Krom

Wat Krom is the pagoda where many residents of Sihanoukville practice Buddhism. Here you may see monks chanting and young monks learning Pali, the sacred language of the Buddhist scriptures. Most of the pagodas in town are brightly painted and decorated with deities represented by hooded snakes, particularly king cobras. They are called nagas. a Sanskrit word for snake.
